Second appearance of Federico Jannacchino for Curieux brings astonishing set of polaroids taken in Federico’s studio. Federico’s sitter for this series is wonderful Ophelia. Federico describes his series as “something about seventies, something about the London of Antonioni’s “Blow up”, and something about Hollywood star.” His passion for analogue is apparent already in Federico’s first series for Curieux, Manierismo, where he used an instant colour film. This time Federico uses an old expired polaroid film that is certainly offering a beautiful return to the past and Ophelia’s unconditional beauty only complements the timeless piece where one would hesitate to say if the images have been taken 50 years ago or in 2016.
