Massimo is originally from Catollica, an Italian province of Rimini. He has been living and working in Norway since 1987. Massimo became one of the most sought-after photographers in Scandinavia. His work received numerous awards and prizes and appears regularly in leading art and fashion magazines. For this feature Massimo Leardini brings the series of beautiful photographs of his muse Viktoria. “I met and photographed her the first time when she was 20 and a model. Since then I have been doing that every summer,” Massimo describes the on-going collaboration with Victoria. “Now Victoria is 35 and very successful actress, musician and artist.” In 2006 Massimo self-published a little book about Victoria.
Massimo says: “This spring I went through all the material I have and I got very excited…I wanted to do more shoots during the summer and I did a 3 day shoot. She is the perfect model, a muse. We have worked together for a long time so we trust each other and that is a great way to work,” explains Massimo. We are hoping to see an amazing piece in a form of a book out of this long lasting relationship between an artist and his muse. The result from this summer’s sessions is raw, darker and became more a collection of photographs that represent more what Massimo does now.
