Story of Mathilda captured by Michal Cetera

Michal Cetera captures Mathilda as honest and spontaneous as it gets. We caught up with Prague based photographer Michal Cetera and asked him couple of questions about his process. “It’s not about taking photographs on its own but it’s about establishing the rapport, the conversation…we’re having a good time and when there is a good moment I take out the camera and simply snap the picture,” explains Michal on how he achieves those spontaneous moments in his photographs. Michal’s photographs capture the truth; the realness and some of the peculiarity of every day encounter. “It’s always spontaneous, almost improvisation, sometime I have an idea beforehand but normally I rely on the situation and either I get the result or not.” Michal enjoys works of his peers such as Napoleon Habeica, Cuauhtemoc Suarez, Ren Hang, or Tamara Lichtenstein to name few. Check out Michal’s tumblr or follow his instagram at the end of the feature.
