When the photographs from Larry Woodmann landed in our mailbox we could not resist featuring his intriguing series No Way Out. Upon seeing Larry’s work we knew he has some damn good material to make our reader curious enough and ask what is going on in that room. Excellently executed shoot inspired by female figure of Susan, played by Sean Young in the film No Way Out, a 1987 thriller full of political and sexual intrigues. Larry’s version of No Way Out has a lot to offer. The “noir at blanc” just adds to its intensity and curiosity. It is provocative and it definitely makes you want to ask a question “what is that woman about in that Motel room…is she someone’s mistress or perhaps a victim of some dirty games?” One we know for sure – it’s very well executed piece by Larry evoking some tension and mysteriousness with some flirtatious undertones.
